Basic Class:

The Gao Style Ba Gua Training Center Curriculum Basic class structure is specifically designed to give the beginning student a good foundation in the basic skill sets of Ba Gua Zhang. Strength building, physical conditioning, basic combat skill, hand methods, footwork, alignment, body mechanics needed for the advanced practice of Ba Gua Zhang. The basics must be trained and internalized to a competent degree before progress to more advanced levels can be attained.

The basic training will emphasize the development of proper body alignment, stepping, footwork and principles of movement using forms, drills and application. It is up to the student to put in the necessary time to learn these skills.


Intermediate Class:

The Gao Style Ba Gua Training Center Curriculum intermediate class structure is designed to build upon the foundation laid in the basic class and refine those skills in a more dynamic setting. This will include a study of the systems core forms, qigong, neigong, meditation, Yi and power development.  Various two-person drills, push hands and sparring will accelerate the development of martial skills for the application of Ba Gua Zhang as a fighting art.


Advanced Class:

The final level in the Gao Style Ba Gua Training Center Curriculum is the advanced class. The class structure will focus on developing individual strengths for martial application and will continue training the student in advanced level concepts. Advanced training methods and theory for integrating all developed skill sets will be focused on. This will include nei gong, swimming body, small frame shen tien, hou tien variations, Xing Yi Quan, Tai Ji Quan and much more.
